1 Have you heard of the news of the overwhelming?
2 On that Day,
- faces will be shamed.
3 Laboring and exhausted. 4 Roasting in a scorching Fire. 5 Given to drink from a flaming spring.
-
They will have no food except thorns that neither nourishes, nor satisfies hunger.
-
Faces on that Day will be joyful, satisfied with their endeavor. 9 In a lofty Garden, you will hear no nonsense.
-
In it is a flowing spring.
-
In it are raised beds.
-
And cups set in place.
-
And cushions set in rows.
-
And carpets spread around. Do they not look at the camels—how they are created?
-
And at the sky—how it is raised? And at the mountains—how they are in- stalled?
-
So at the earth—how it is spread out?
-
You have no control over them.
89. THE DAWN (al-Fajr)

- the even and odd number
- the passing night.
Have you not seen how your Lord dealt with Aad?
The people of Iram had lofty pillars, the likes of which had never been created in the land.
9 The Thamood carved the rocks in the valley and the Pharaoh had Stakes.
They all oppressed the lands and increased the corruption in it.
So your Lord poured down upon them a scourge of punishment.
When the Lord tries humans and is generous to him and favors him, he says “My Lord has honored me”.
the night as it recedes. 10 And 16 And 18. And the even and the odd. 4 And a rational person?
9 Satisfied 5 Is there in this an oath for 6. They
upon Us rests their reckoning. Lord is on the lookout. As for man, whenever his Lord tests him, and honors him, and prospers him, he says,
16 But whenever He tests him, and restricts his livelihood for him, he says, “My Lord has insulted me.”
- No! But you:
- do not honor Muhammad
- do not urge the feeding of the poor
- devour inheritance with all greed.
- love wealth immensely.
-
No! When the earth is leveled, pounded, and crushed, and your Lord comes, with the angels, row after row.
-
And on that Day, Hell is brought forward. On that Day, man will remember, but how will remembrance avail him?
-
He will say, “If only I had forwarded for my life.”
-
On that Day, none will punish as He punishes.

An orphan near of kin.
to your Lord, pleased and accepted. among My servants. 30. Enter My Paradise.
