How Pyrokinesis Works

We define pyrokinesis is the emotional ability to create, control, and manipulate fire and heat with the heart.
This is in contrast with the modern definition which calls it a psychic or mental ability.
The Second Element: Chi as Space Particles
In Descartes’ 17th-century physics, the universe is a plenum—a space entirely filled with subtle matter. He divided this substance into 3 elements:
- First Element: Heat particles (luminous, ultra-fine matter)
- Second Element: Celestial globules (space particles, which transmit light and pressure)
- Third Element: Ordinary visible matter
What many Eastern traditions call chi or vayu—the life force or breath of life—aligns precisely with Descartes’ Second Element: space particles.
These particles are not empty voids, but tangible, mobile substances that fill the cosmos and flow through all things.
This chi primarily facilitates our emotions. This is why it is so central in yoga and emotional health.
In this Cartesian framework, combustion occurs when space particles are violently and rapidly ejected from matter.
This sudden expulsion creates a local void, allowing heat particles (First Element) to rush in and dominate—manifesting as fire and intense heat.
Pyrokinesis, therefore, is the ability to trigger this process emotionally by feeling and directing the chi that flows in the body.
The practitioner uses focused will and breath control to accelerate space particles within or around an object to the critical speed needed for ignition—without friction, sparks, or conventional fuel.
The practitioner does not create energy from nothing, but rather ** the energy that is already in the material.
Fire Pistons and Diesel Engines
The same Cartesian principle is harnessed in everday technology such as diesel engines, which is really a Fire Piston.
- Fire Piston is a handheld tube in which rapid compression of air (ejecting space particles quickly) heats the air enough to ignite tinder.
- Diesel Engines compresses and ignites fuel ignites because air is compressed so rapidly that space particles are expelled, allowing heat particles to activate combustion spontaneously.
Both operate on the key variable: SPEED of ejection. Too slow, and nothing happens.
The same rapid ejection is done in pyrokinesis as the man emphasizing the RAPID movement of chi.
