As the Subjects of Deftruction or Refolution, according to what we above obferv’d are Mixts, Compounds and Aggregates; fo are they likewife the Subjects of Generation: that is, Mixts, Compounds and Aggregates are formed or combined by its means.

  1. Collective Combination is that whereby a. number of fmaller Parts are brought together into one larger Aggregate; and it may follow nearly upon all the kinds of Destruction; as our Operations are almoft conftantly perform’d with Aggregate Bodies.

  2. A principal Collection of this kind is that e of faline Bodies difperfed in Waters; which faline & Bodies are collected by the Separation of all fenfible bumidity; and this is called Coagulation: but if Water materially concurs, and fome part of it be retain’d in the Salt, ’tis called Crystallization.

  3. The fmall parts of metalline Bodies are c collected by Colliquation; fo likewife are their Calces, if nothing heterogeneous adhere thereto : but if any thing heterogeneous, and contrary to the nature of metals, is alfo to be feparated; this must be done by Reduction.
