But you are just defining them as obstacles, so you experience them as obstacles. Because you define things as obstacles. They’re just challenges. But “challenges” is not a negative definition. If you define unexpected things that way as challenges instead of obstacles, you can experience them in a more positive way. Remember, no situation has built-in meaning. Everything is fundamentally neutral. Life is meaningless. You’re the one that’s designed to give life meaning. If you give situations a positive meaning, you will get a beneficial positive effect. If you give them a negative definition, you can only get an effect that is representative of negativity, such as struggle, strife, difficulty.

How can we not be our true selves if we are All-That-Is, which includes everything?

You are not experiencing yourself as All-That-Is. You are experiencing yourself as an aspect of All-That-Is that has chosen to forget that it is an aspect of All-That-Is, so that it can remember that it is an aspect of All-That-Is, and so from that perspective, rediscover itself anew from a different perspective.

So doesn’t that all come down to the idea of what I call “like sets,” where you create a boundary, like human consciousness has nine levels of consciousness right associated with it in your particular realm?

Bashar

Yes, it has many more than that, but in terms of the set you are referring to that is relevant for your human experience, yes, it is associated with nine levels of consciousness from the Oversoul down to your physical consciousness.

So that is the purpose of this kind of exclusionary boundary in a sense? Is each exclusionary boundary then creates either another race or species or life experience of rediscovering yourself from a new perspective, which is the whole point, because the structure of existence never changes, but your experience of the structure does?

Bashar

Everyone is a different point of view that All-That-Is has of itself. And some of those points of view purposely don’t know that they are All-That-Is, so that All-That-Is can experience itself through rediscovering that it is All-That-Is from those points of view. That’s what expands the experience of creation and All-That-Is, because the structure can never change, but the experience can.

Asker

So does that mean that basically it’s like a game that Consciousness played with itself? It learned that it could, or it knew that it could, experience itself as many aspects of All-That-Is that is possible, simply by creating limitation in a sense.

Bashar

Yes. But it’s not a game as such as you typically define it on your planet, because it is simply the natural result of self-awareness of All-That-Is, automatically creating reflections, infinite numbers of reflections, through which it can experience itself in an infinite number of ways. It’s not a game that it had to decide to play. It’s just the natural result of it becoming aware of itself. Does that make sense?

Asker

Yes. And it kind of just gives a different perspective when you think of all the different ways creation has of experiencing itself. And you look at that idea of limitation in some way; it’s the key to having an experience.

Bashar

Yes. You have to have some parameters in order to have certain experiences. That’s why some limitations are actually positive. They actually give you the ability to have this self-discovery experience. Without them, you wouldn’t be able to do so. In a timeless state, there is no change, there is no discovery. So you have to create the illusion of a spacetime state in which to have that experience. And you impose limitations on your consciousness—or All-That-Is does—in order to experience itself from that point of view.

Asker

Yes. And so to play the game of limitation that we play here on Earth, which appears to be a kind of extreme level of limitation, but actually as we’re going through this process with you, we’re finding out that physical reality is much more flexible and malleable than we originally experienced.

Bashar

Yes, because that’s what this age of transformation is all about: having that realization that physical reality is nothing more than your projected illusion, and therefore it is really, in a sense, smoke and mirrors.
