Sixth Voter: Love at First Sight

Vote: Fifth Law

Reason: “Just easier.”

Asker
I wanted to discuss the concept called love at first sight.
Asker
Bashar
Bashar
There is a concept called love before first sight, but we’ll stick with what you are offering. It’s here and now. Right here and now. It’s love here and now.
Asker
I’ve experienced that. And it’s one of the most exciting aspects of life, you could say, though it doesn’t always end…
Asker
Bashar
Bashar

Stop right there for one moment. Notice the contradictory definitions creeping in. “It’s one of the most exciting experiences in life, although…” and then you shift to the other side with a definition that has absolutely nothing at all to do with the definition you just gave. So it is one of the most exciting things you can experience in life. Period.

The “although” is a completely different definition of something else altogether and has nothing to do with love at first sight. Do you see how you’re doing that? You’re actually taking one thing and making an association to something completely different that you have no business making an association to, from this concept to that one. Each of these is its own concept. Love at first sight: one of the most exciting things you can experience in life, period. Now, if you’re going to go and explore something else that you don’t prefer, that’s what you’re doing, but it has nothing at all to do with the effects that love at first sight being exciting has in your life. One does not lead to the other. They are completely separate ideas, completely separate definitions, and completely separate realities that you’re describing here.

So it’s not “this although” or “but.” It’s “this and that.” Which do you prefer?

Asker
I prefer to keep it simple.
Asker
Bashar
Bashar
Then stay in the vibration of love at first sight regardless of the outcome. Did we not just define the entire formula as having absolutely no insistence on a particular outcome to justify the state? You do not need a particular outcome to justify your preferred state. Circumstances do not matter, only state of being does.
Asker
Not really, but okay.
Asker
Bashar
Bashar
So let me follow up on this, by all means.
Asker
Okay. So love at first sight. It happened, and I decided to act upon it.
Asker
Bashar
Bashar
To the best of your ability.
Asker
To the best of my ability, with no assumption of the outcome.
Asker
Bashar
Bashar
Okay. If you didn’t do it that way, you didn’t follow the formula for excitement. Okay.
Asker
So I did my best to avoid having any assumptions, but just having the experience of love at first sight implies some hidden reality or some kind of connection that’s supposed to be there.
Asker
Bashar
Bashar
But don’t have an assumption as to what that connection means. Don’t have an assumption as to how that connection needs to play out. Love at first sight can happen for a number of different reasons. It doesn’t mean that it has to play out a certain way. Sometimes your excitement will lead you in a certain direction simply because that’s the direction in which it will serve you best to be led. But that has nothing at all to do with the style in which you are led. Okay? So it could be just to push me forward in a direction. It could be just for that. It could be that you have to develop a different kind of relationship with the person that you have fallen in love with other than assuming that it must play out this way or that way. Let it be what it is. Let it be the reflection it needs to be to teach you how to be more of yourself, because that’s what relationships are for anyway. And support the other in allowing them to be whatever it is they truly prefer to be, because again, that’s what relationships are for. Don’t assume that just because you fall in love with someone that it has to play out in a certain societal way. It may have nothing at all to do with that in terms of why that connection exists. If it does, it does. If it doesn’t, it doesn’t. But whatever it is will be what serves you best if you allow it to, instead of putting those assumptions in the way of letting it do its job for you, letting it be there for the real reason it is there, instead of for the reason that your mind insists it must be there. Because it has all these ideas that if it’s not there for that reason that I’ve been taught it should be there, then somehow I’m going to be missing something. I’m going to be deprived of something. Something’s going to go wrong. I’m going to miss out. Who says? Let it be what it is, because whatever it is is what serves you best. Don’t impose conditions upon it to the degree that prevents you from really understanding why it really happened, because it may have happened for an idea or a reason that you have absolutely no cognition of at this particular moment. So use it for what it is. Trust it for what it gives you at that moment. Experience what is happening and forget about the idea of predicting what will happen, because your physical mind isn’t capable of doing that. Only the higher mind knows how something’s going to unfold. The physical mind only knows what’s happening in front of it.
Bashar
Bashar
Are you feeling a little bit more in love with yourself? Because that’s actually the first sight. If you’re not in love with yourself, you can’t really be in love with anything else.
Bashar
Bashar
Because everything else is you. It’s a reflection of you. And if you insist that something, a reflection you’re getting, is somehow wrong and doesn’t fit, you’re actually rejecting a part of yourself that you need to understand. So if you’re in love with yourself—and I don’t mean in a narcissistic way—if you’re in love with yourself, you will accept that whatever is going on in the way that it’s unfolding has some information for you. Again, it doesn’t mean that you cannot converse and you cannot explore the possibility of allowing things to change in a certain direction, but you can do that without any insistence that they must change in that direction. You can always explore the possibilities, but then it’s up to you to accept whatever it is that does play out as what needed to play out for the benefit of all concerned, not just one side or the other. In a relationship, sometimes being in love with someone means that the best thing may be that you are not necessarily in love in a traditional way. It may mean many other things. Let it be what it naturally needs to be to support everyone in the relationship, and trust that the way it plays out is the way that serves you best as well.
Asker
What is an untraditional way?
Asker
Bashar
Bashar
When we talk about the idea of traditional ways on your planet, the idea is that someone usually on your planet assumes traditionally that if they fall in love with someone, it must lead to a particular kind of ritualistic marriage and so on and so forth. It may not.
Bashar
Bashar
It may lead to that, but why don’t you just find out if that’s what’s natural, instead of insisting on that having to be the way it must play out.
Bashar
Bashar
Take a deep breath and let it out and relax. Let your life unfold in a natural way. Your life already works. You’ve already made all the appointments and all the agreements and all the marriages that you need to make. Just let them unfold naturally. The only way to miss an appointment is to spend your life worrying that you have missed the appointment. That’s the paradox. If you stop worrying that you’re going to miss an appointment, you cannot miss an appointment that you’ve made, because your life will unfold and everything will happen in perfect timing. Trust the timing. All right.

Homelessness & Perspective

Asker
I recently moved to San Francisco. One of the things that stand out in San Francisco in my area is the homeless people living in the street. Every time I come across a homeless person, it makes me feel instantly bad. I’m not sure what’s the best way to assist them.
Asker
Bashar
Bashar
Well, you can ask them. Perhaps you can engage them in dialogue, find out why they are choosing what they’re choosing. Offer them the opportunity to know that there may be other choices that they can make, but also accept the fact that some of them—not all of them, but some of them—will continue to choose what seems unfathomable to you as a choice, that they should remain homeless. In your view, how would you… I just told you. As a collective, how… I just told you. Engage people, commune with them, converse with them, find out why they are making the choices they are making based on the beliefs they’re holding to be true for themselves. And then after you offer them an opportunity to recognize there may be other choices they could make, you must allow them to make the choices that they choose. That’s it. That’s all you need to do. That’s all you can do: offer them an opportunity to recognize there may be other ways of going about things, other choices that could be made based on their belief systems, other beliefs they could buy into. But then you have to allow them to choose what they choose. End of story. That’s the only way you can really help.
Bashar
Bashar

Because believe it or not, many of those people have made choices based on their own fears, and actually in some sense, because of their belief system, prefer to be that way for one reason or another. Some people who are, as you say, out on the street, in some way prefer that because then they have a belief that if they are in some way, shape or form part of society, they are under someone’s thumb or under control, whereas being out on the street, they are free to be who they wish to be. Now that doesn’t mean they have to experience freedom that way, but that may simply be the basis of their belief system creating the choices that they are making and creating the results that you’re experiencing. But if you explore that with them and allow them the opportunity to find out if there is another way they could go about experiencing freedom—to use this example—then perhaps they don’t necessarily have to divest themselves of all physiological objects in order to experience that idea. But if they still choose to buy into the idea in whatever way, shape or form, they have chosen it, whether for positive or negative reasons. You have to allow them their choices. Yes. You want them to allow you your choices. Yes. So you have to allow them their choices too. It’s a two-way street. But you can explore with them if you wish.

Remember also that there are different perspectives on this idea. A person wandering around without necessarily inhabiting a house may simply feel that the entire planet is their home, and that you living in a house are the homeless one, because you have cut yourself off from the rest of the world by surrounding yourself with walls. So it’s a matter of perspective. Give yourself the opportunity to find out exactly what each perspective is before you assume a negative.

Seventh Voter: The World is Round & Atlantean Drums

Vote: Fifth Law

Asker
I believe that aspect of the original Law should be highlighted initially to help with a greater understanding of the original Law, much like going from “the world is flat” to “the world is round” concept.
Asker
Bashar
Bashar
Your planet is actually an oblate spheroid, but we’ll accept “round.”
Asker
In a previous gathering you mentioned the Atlanteans had come up with a way to help enhance learning in children with drums, in recreating the heartbeat on drums. I’d appreciate it if you could elaborate on that and give specific details.
Asker
Bashar
Bashar
All right. Well, again, the idea is that when the children gather in the form of a class, the drum begins to beat, and it begins to beat at a beat that is more representative of the awaken aware state in your daily life. Slowly the beat is slowed down to be more representative of the heartbeat in what you call the dream state. When the drum is slowed down and when all the children allow their heartbeats to slow down to match the drum beat, they all go into a synchronous kind of daydream. And in that synchronous daydream, they are allowed the opportunity to visualize, and are given clues to visualize the thing they need to learn about, so that they can actually feel they are becoming that scenario, are actually interacting in that scenario. It’s a kind of hypnotic state, a kind of hypnosis teaching system, but it relies specifically on the periodicity of the heartbeat to invoke the correct state in the brain to allow for these daydreams to seem very real, so that the individuals can go very deeply into them and feel that they are actually truly interacting in real scenarios. So that by doing so, they will retain more information, and they will learn by doing in those daydreams, by being induced into the proper state to do so.
Asker
So once the heartbeat drum sound is slowed down, does then the instructor start providing a scenario?
Asker
Bashar
Bashar
Yes, verbally. “You are on a ship at sea. You are learning how to sail a ship at sea. You are the ship, you are the masts, you are the rigging, you are the sails.” And the children can actually begin to identify their consciousness with those reflections in such a way that simply by becoming the sail in the daydream, they learn everything there is to know about the sail, and thus in conjunction with all the other components of the ship, they learn everything there is to know about ships and sailing.
Asker
Is it a specific type of drum or a specific type of heartbeat, a child as opposed to an adult?
Asker
Bashar
Bashar
Well, again, the idea is that the heartbeat that is mostly representative of the awaken aware state is changed to the heartbeat that is mostly representative of your heartbeat when you are deep asleep and dreaming. And it doesn’t matter whether it’s a child or adult. No, it does not. I am simply saying that that’s the way they generally taught their children.
Asker
The resonance of the drum can to some degree be important?
Asker
Bashar
Bashar
What was chosen were those that most clearly and deeply resonated to the idea of what the heartbeat sounds like.
Bashar
Bashar
And also, it was used to the idea of what you call regressions. Because once the heartbeat sound is mimicked and mirrored, and you can take that resonance and the periodicity of the beat to the idea of the heartbeat that the child felt in the mother’s womb, you can actually allow the child to have very clear memories of the entire birthing process and everything from that point forward.

Accelerated Timelessness & Memory

Asker
Thank you, Bashar. Good day to you.
Asker
Bashar
Bashar
Your vote is?
Asker
Number five. And why? I feel we are ready for this next expanded level of knowledge, understanding.
Asker
Bashar
Bashar
All right. Thank you. What else do you wish to discuss?
Asker
I’m experiencing what I call accelerated timelessness in my life.
Asker
Bashar
Bashar
Exciting, isn’t it?
Asker
It’s kind of an oxymoron, accelerated timelessness. What I’m finding is… remember we have always said moving at infinite speed feels exactly like you are standing perfectly still because you’re everywhere at once. Make sense?
Asker
Bashar
Bashar
Yes.
Asker
So that is accelerated timelessness. What’s been happening is that I find my fears, I’m actually able to move past them much faster now as part of that acceleration and timelessness.
Asker
Bashar
Bashar
Yes. Because anytime you are in the now, you have more access to more information and thus can transmute things more efficiently. All right.
Asker
So I would like to even go to the next level, which would be…
Asker
Bashar
Bashar
What you’re always going to: the next level.
Asker
Okay. So how do I then, in this now—or all my nows, every microsecond now—how is there possibility of being in each now with all the positive beliefs that I would want and all the positive definitions I would want, so there doesn’t even have to be drawing upon any fears or any definitions or any beliefs that no longer serve me because they all come from the past anyways?
Asker
Bashar
Bashar
Well, they actually all come from the present. You just say they come from the past, but that’s just another version of the present. They don’t come from the past. Change that definition now. They come from the present. Okay. There is no past. If everything is here and now, there is no such thing as the past. What you call the experience of the past is simply another parallel now. Okay.
Asker
How do I choose all the parallel nows that support the positive beliefs and definitions?
Asker
Bashar
Bashar
By acting on your highest excitement and knowing that whatever is relevant for this particular life will be there to support you. Because the idea is that all you actually need is what’s relevant to the path that you’ve chosen. All things are possible, but not all things are probable or relevant. So all you need to really understand is that whatever aspects of any other parallel reality are required for you to apply in your life now, now, now, now, now, will be the ones that manifest for you. And they will all be representative of positive reinforcing belief systems that are relevant for the path and theme you’ve chosen to explore. You don’t need them all. You only need the ones that are relevant for the theme you’re exploring at any given moment.
Asker
So if there’s any fears still coming up in this now, it’s positive for me in some way, and I just need to recognize that and understand that and accept it.
Asker
Bashar
Bashar
Well, the first thing that’s positive is the recognition of the fear, of the negative definition. Because if you don’t recognize it, you don’t have anything to work with, you don’t have anything to change. Okay. So that’s positive, isn’t it? Yes. Yes. Remember that as you explore and expand your excitement, one of its jobs will be to bring to your attention anything still remaining within you that doesn’t match that vibration. So acting on your excitement doesn’t necessarily at first make the idea of negative definitions disappear; it makes them stand out, says you need to deal with this. Because only when you deal with this and integrate it will you then change the energy of this into the energy of more excitement, which is the point of why it brings it to your attention.
Asker
Yeah, that part makes sense. One of the things that I find is I’m more in the now, and I’m becoming forgetful. Good. I’m too young to have… I don’t think it’s because I’m getting demented.
Asker
Bashar
Bashar
Forget about remembering.
Asker
But they’re important things like paying bills and washing dishes.
Asker
Bashar
Bashar
It’s only because you are focused on trying to retain a memory that you don’t know what you need to know when you need to know it. We have no memory at all and thus we forget nothing. You have… we have no memory at all and thus we have nothing to forget. Therefore we know everything we need to know when we need to know it. The only thing that’s tripping you up is that you think you’re losing your memory, that you think you need to remember things in a certain way. All you need to know is that you will know what you need to know when you need to know it. And you don’t need to know it a moment before you need to know it, and thus you will know it not a moment later than you need to know it. Forget about remembering. Just let the information be there as you need it, when you need it, in perfect timing.
Asker
So just be willing to pay the penalties if I’ve forgotten my bills and stuff like that.
Asker
Bashar
Bashar
Be willing to understand that you can allow yourself to know what you need to know, so that there will be no penalties. But if that happens, then yes, allow it. But the idea is that you are attempting to blend and harmonize still varying belief systems. That’s what’s tripping you up.
Asker
Can you repeat that again? I didn’t quite get that.
Asker
Bashar
Bashar
You’re attempting to harmonize contradictory belief systems. That’s what’s tripping you up.
Asker
So how do I untrip myself?
Asker
Bashar
Bashar
I just told you. Stop trying to reconcile disharmonious beliefs that have no business being in the same place at the same time.
Asker
So just allow myself to be forgetful and it’s okay?
Asker
Bashar
Bashar
And just as soon as you allow it to be all right to forget, you will know what you need to know. Ah, okay. That’s what we’re saying.
Asker
If you should decide to push those contradictory beliefs together again and suddenly find that oh no, I forgot and now I have penalties to pay—so what? So what. It’s part of your process of understanding how to let go of those assumptions and those ideas that for some reason you will be punished and that there will be penalties by simply being yourself. So there’s no need to punish myself. No, unless you enjoy it. Unless you’re excited about being a masochist for making mistakes.
Asker
Asker
Or what mistakes?
Asker
Bashar
Bashar
You may have chosen something you don’t prefer. If you want to call that a mistake, fine. Okay. But don’t judge yourself for having made it. If you make a mistake, don’t make the mistake of judging yourself for having made the mistake.
Bashar
Bashar
Or you’re just compounding the idea of mistakes. Making the mistake isn’t a mistake. Judging yourself for having done it is the mistake.

Past Lives & Hypnotherapy

Asker
I vote for the fifth law because I have practical experience. I am a past life hypnotherapist. Through the few sessions I have done, I understand that everything is here and now.
Asker
Asker
Yes. We humans don’t understand that those other lives that are connected affect us.
Asker
Bashar
Bashar
They don’t affect you except as you choose to be affected. Correct.
Asker
But through the therapy, people can connect to those energies and change them.
Asker
Bashar
Bashar
They can. And the reason that it is possible to make those changes is because you’re making those connections from the present. If the idea of influence and energy was actually really coming from the past, you would have absolutely no power over it to change it at all. The only reason you actually can change those kinds of connections is because those connections are actually existing only in the present, which is where you exist.
Asker
And the fact that you are interacting with us, that also represents that in linear terms, the future, those energies will influence us?
Asker
Bashar
Bashar
They are in a sense available to you to peruse, to consider. But what influence or effect they have are based on the choices you make as to what degree of this so-called future interaction you choose to incorporate into your present.
Asker
Is it important for us to connect with those other past lives?
Asker
Bashar
Bashar
If you believe that it’s important, then it’s important. If you don’t, then it’s not. It’s up to you. It is one way, it’s one permission slip, it’s one way to recognize more of yourself, but it’s not the only way.
Asker
But I feel, I believe that if we do that connection, we will be better in our linear future.
Asker
Bashar
Bashar
Good for you. If that’s what you believe, then that’s what works for you. That’s your permission slip. Good for you. Thank you. I am not invalidating, I’m not discounting it. I’m just saying if that’s what works for you, then that’s what works for you, because that’s what your belief system says works for you. Therefore, by all means, that’s your permission slip for this particular moment. By all means, use it, because it will work for you. Great. And it may work similarly for other people as well, and that’s fine. And someday you may change your mind about how you go about your relationship to this concept, or you may not. Either is fine too.

Spiritual Union

Asker
What is a spiritual union and how to obtain it?
Asker
Bashar
Bashar
A spiritual union is simply the idea of the alignment of frequencies, the alignment of vibrations, the harmonizing of vibrations, the mirroring of vibrations. And you obtain it by acting on your highest excitement and thus getting the reflections of the vibrations that are on the same level.

How’s it going? Good. All right, well it’s getting to be that time again when Darryl gets to go to sleep. Actually his brain waves are all elevated when he’s doing this. So all right, so I guess we’re all ready to get started. Does anybody have any questions before we start they’d like to ask the channel? What? How many years have you been doing this?
Host
Darryl
30 years. What does it feel like? It’s like falling into a deep daydream. I don’t hear the words, but I have my own experiences of images and feelings, and it’s just a very buoyant, very high-energy kind of daydream sort of feeling than being. I am conscious, just conscious in a different way.
Darryl
Host
So you’re two different types of…
Host
Darryl
I’m just not hearing it. It’s like if you have a daydream and somebody walks in and calls your name and they need to call your name five times before you hear it. It’s like that. I don’t hear the words. I’m having my own experience. After a session I feel energized. It’s literally like taking a deep sleep and you wake up and you have more energy.
Darryl
Host
Is it true that you only go into the altered state so he can talk to you?
Host
Darryl
I get information from him just as an instantaneous telepathic download, so I can do that when I need to. After doing it for 30 years there’s a lot more blending. It’s a lot easier. I can access it kind of as myself more in terms of that state. He’s kind of rubbed off on me in terms of how to just access information when I need it. So yes, definitely.
Darryl
Host
How did it start?
Host
Darryl
That’s actually on our website, just because we only have a certain amount of time and it does take a while to explain that, and we’ll show that in the documentary. We’ll reenact the whole thing. Anyone else?
Darryl
Host
He’s not hearing, he’s not speaking. He’s just sending thoughts. He’s reading patterns and sending thoughts, and that’s getting translated into the language that I was raised to understand.
Host
Darryl
Older than I am now? That’s not possible. Oh, that would be nice. He’s been asking for his own ship a while, but I don’t know, I have to leave that in his hands I guess. Hope so. There have been a few times when people have asked for sessions at certain times when I’ll kind of get a no, but I get the feeling that that’s more that maybe it’s just not the right time to talk to that person for what they’re going through. Time for him is not what it is for us. And so it’s not really like interrupting or anything like that. When everything is arranged for me to do this, he’s always connecting. Because from his perspective he may have already had this conversation, and it may only seem like it’s happening in this now for us, or he may have yet to have this conversation. It’s just that he knows that his consciousness will go to whatever time frame it needs to to interact with us. So it’s not really an interruption in his schedule or anything.
Darryl
Host
For some reason I don’t function that way. I know some channels do. The only real instance I’ve had of that is the word “Bashar” itself, because it’s not his name. It’s an Arabic word that means “messenger.” But that was what happened when I first received the telepathic connection the first time from him. The word “Bashar” was there. I don’t speak Arabic, so I had no idea it was an Arabic word. I had to be told that years later. That’s the only instance of my brain accepting a foreign word that I didn’t understand. That’s just not how I operate it seems. And one more… I think the stranger thing about that is a lot of times people will be coming to these sessions for years and years and they develop a dialogue and a relationship with Bashar, but they’ve never actually introduced themselves to me. Until one day they’ll come up and they’ll start talking to me like I’m supposed to know who they are. It’s like, I’m sorry, I have no clue who you are. So it’s kind of that sort of thing. Are you all ready to go? Okay. Well, thank you all again so much for being here and enjoying this experience. And thank you, Darryl, for taking us into another journey into the unknown. I would, before we go, because I’m usually a little fuzzy when I come out at the end, I would just like to take the opportunity now to ask everyone to give a hand to April and all the volunteers who put this together.

In what way are you excited to do this?
Asker
I teach meditation and chi gong. It’s exciting. I love it. There’s no words to describe it. That is the best description of all. Thank you. I’m also concerned about the environment. I was wondering how I as a person could help solve the pollution problem on this planet.

Yes, some, such as being the change and using less, recycling more, talking to people.

There’s been some visions. Sitting in a large room teaching meditation and chi gong to people.

Yes, such as aligning my energies with other energies.

No, it was a very easy question. We think you are having a tougher time with your answer. Yes. But why can you not with your imagination imagine going about doing these things and dispersing information in ways that more people have access to?
Asker
Absolutely. Such as…
Asker
Bashar
Bashar
What’s the hesitation?
Asker
It’s just harder to do than to actually say, is what I mean.
Asker
Bashar
Bashar
Why? That’s a belief system. Why do you believe that? It’s basically just changing the belief. Of course. There is absolutely no built-in difficulty to any situation. It is only your belief that allows you to experience difficulty in situations. No situation has inherent difficulty. Challenge is fine, but that doesn’t mean it has to be a struggle. That doesn’t mean you have to suffer. You are creating all of the difficulty in that context by having belief systems that don’t allow you the freedom to exercise your expression of excitement in the way that you would prefer to. So doing less and accomplishing more is the ideal goal, in a sense, as long as you actually do do something. Because action is the key. Physical action is the key. Acting it out. Because you are having a physical experience. If you have a concept, that’s all well and good. If you understand that you’re amplifying energies, that’s all well and good. But if you don’t actually have a physiological representation of how to go about doing that, you’re not grounding the circuit in physical reality and creating an effect as strongly as you could.
Asker
How could I ground the circuit? By meditating?
Asker
Bashar
Bashar
No. You see, that’s what you’re going back to, is the idea of making it a mental act instead of a physical one. The idea is, yes, of course, to some, meditation has a physicality to it. But if you’re really interested and excited about reaching more people, why not use the different forms of media that exist on your planet by which many other people do the same? Have you thought about the idea of recording your information in ways and formats that other people have more access to?
Asker
I actually already have done that.
Asker
Bashar
Bashar
Well then, why didn’t you say so?
Asker
But I haven’t broadcasted it out.
Asker
Bashar
Bashar
Why not? What’s the hesitation?
Asker
Probably fear of not being enough or good enough.
Asker
Bashar
Bashar
Not being good enough. Not being enough. I’d say that’s part of it, but not all of the reason. Why?
Asker
Maybe I just haven’t met the right person.
Asker
Bashar
Bashar
You’re the right person. You understand that you attract what you need? Yes. Correct. But the idea is that the easiest way to attract what you need is to start taking action first, so that by your action others can see and be magnetically attracted to the actions that you’re taking, by looking at the conviction within you to already do it without necessarily needing anyone else, to the best of your ability. So the idea is to do whatever it is you are afraid to do that you know is representative of your highest excitement, without waiting for the so-called ideal conditions, which will never come as long as you keep waiting for them. Correct? Yes. Therefore, the fear of not being good enough is really again the product simply of belief systems you’re buying into that do not take into account the true reality of your existence. If it was true that you were not good enough to share the gift you have to give, believe me, you wouldn’t exist. Because creation does not make mistakes.

Quieting the Ego

Asker
Can you recommend how to quiet the ego? What is the most optimal way to do that?
Asker
Bashar
Bashar
The optimal way to quiet the ego is to allow the ego to do the job it was designed to do and stop putting more pressure on it than it is designed to handle. The ego’s only job really is to keep you focused in physical reality in order to have physical experiences. That’s it. The idea is to allow the physical mind and the higher mind to work in concert by acting on your highest excitement, by allowing a synchronous flow of unfolding events to happen in your life in perfect timing, and to simply allow the ego structure to focus you in the experience that manifests as a result of that allowance. That’s it. The ego is like the diving mask that you put on when you go deep sea diving. The reason you need the mask is because it makes it easier to see under the water. Otherwise your vision is a little bit fuzzy. But if you tell the diving mask, “Well, not only must you clarify my vision, but you must take upon yourself the ability to control all the fish that come to me, in what order I want to see them, and exactly how deep I go, and what ocean I swim in, and what kind of a result I want to get out of this experience of deep sea diving,” and all of that, then the mask cracks under the strain, because it’s not designed to do all that. It’s only designed to help you see clearly in whatever it is you have chosen to see.
Bashar
Bashar
So if you allow the ego to know that you are letting it do the job it was designed to do, and take the pressure off of it, take the weight off its shoulders so it doesn’t have to control life, it can just experience life, then it will find its place within all of the continuity of your consciousness. It will thus then feel supported and loved, and not resent the extra pressure you’re putting on it. It is that resentment, that recoil of the ego, that creates the negative ego. Because once you put too much on its shoulders, it builds up a resentment because it wasn’t designed to do that, and that becomes the negative, out-of-control ego that you talk about when you say “negative ego.” So just let it do its job. Let it know it’s loved for doing its job. Let it know it belongs and that it will not be annihilated just because you’re going to allow other levels of consciousness to do their job in tandem with it as well. It has to know that it is always safe. It has to know that you are its friend and it is yours, and that you value and treasure and cherish the role that it plays for you in allowing you to have a physical experience. Then it will quiet down, because it is now not being made to do more than it is truly designed to do.
Asker
So the ego thinks it’s going to die?
Asker
Bashar
Bashar
Yes. Because when you’ve told the ego that it’s in control and there is only that and it must control everything, then when you attempt to bring in the true higher consciousness that really has the bigger vision, the ego again thinks it’s being replaced, thinks it’s being kicked out, thinks it’s being fired, thinks it’s being annihilated. Because it can’t understand that if it’s supposed to be in control, what’s this other consciousness doing here? Why are you inviting it in? I’m supposed to be the one running things. You gave me that job and now you are replacing me. You’re kicking me out on the street. What’s wrong? What did I do? Do you understand? Absolutely. So now it’s like, “No, no, no, that’s not your job description. This is your job description.” “Oh, well that’s easy. I can handle that. Now please, let the team come in. Let the higher mind come in. Let the other level of consciousness connect.” Because now I know I’m just the idea of focusing you on all the experiences coming from all those different things, so that you are able to have that experience of life. And I am coordinating that for you, allowing you to focus on what you need to focus on so that we can have that experience together. And that’s it.
Asker
So finding your highest excitement is creating a symbiotic flow between microcosm and macrocosm.
Asker
Bashar
Bashar
Yes. Because again, if the highest excitement is representative of your true vibration, then that means that’s the vibration wherein you are truly aligned with all that is.

Eleventh Voter

Vote: Fifth Law

Reason: I like the number 5

Asker
My vote, I wish it was different, but it’s for the Five Laws because I like the number five.
Asker
Bashar
Bashar
All right. Good enough.
Asker
I wanted to ask you about a relationship in my life. My relationship with my father.
Asker
Bashar
Bashar
What about it?
Asker
I’m struggling with it. I find it hard to connect with him, and I find that we are not operating on similar wavelengths.
Asker
Bashar
Bashar
You are not?
Asker
We are not.
Asker
Bashar
Bashar
All right. And so?
Asker
I’m perfectly fine allowing him to, as you say, operate on his wavelength.
Asker
Bashar
Bashar
Doesn’t sound like it.
Asker
Because I feel that he imposes his wavelengths on other people.
Asker
Bashar
Bashar
How is that possible?
Asker
I don’t know. I need help.
Asker
Bashar
Bashar
It’s not possible. Other people may choose to believe that it is, and thus create those wavelengths in their own reality, accepting the wavelength vibration he is offering. But he cannot actually physically impose his wavelength on anyone if they don’t create that mirror wavelength in their reality. He doesn’t have that power. No one does.
Asker
So how do I stop accepting the same wavelength in my own life?
Asker
Bashar
Bashar
Why are you choosing to mimic it in your life? Why are you choosing to align yourself with a wavelength you say you don’t prefer? Why are you recreating that state of being for yourself when you know that that’s not who you prefer to be? Remember that when we talk about the idea of choosing your vibrational state, it’s about the idea of choosing what you prefer regardless of what anyone else’s intention is toward you. Because they have no effect on you if you don’t choose to be affected. And if you choose to be affected, you’re simply creating the same wavelength out of your own energy.
Asker
That’s the problem I’m having. I can feel that happening. But why am I choosing to do that? What am I getting out of doing that? Are you feeling that somehow if you don’t do that, you will be dishonoring your father by not matching his wavelength, even though you don’t prefer it? That you will be a bad child or something like that? Why do you believe that? If that’s the case… how old are you?
Asker
Bashar
Bashar
I’m 22.
Asker
Speak up.
Asker
Bashar
Bashar
  1. A master number. Time to go through another gate. Another change. Time to mature. Time to grow up. Time to stop listening to bedtime stories that you don’t agree with. Do you understand? Yes. Time to tell yourself a new story. Time to be a new story. You don’t have to buy into the old stories if you don’t prefer to. You are old enough to make that decision on your own. Do you follow? Yes. And yet, what prevents you? What do you fear by letting go of things you don’t prefer that are connected to your father?
Asker
My attachment to my mother and my brother.
Asker
Bashar
Bashar
Why do you fear that that will dissolve?
Asker
Because I feel like he may stop that connection, or by not having a connection with me, he might take it out on them.
Asker
Bashar
Bashar
And again, you understand that the only way that that is possible is if they agree to abide by that. Do you believe that they will?
Asker
I believe that they might.
Asker
Bashar
Bashar
All right. And if they do so, what?
Asker
Well, that’s painful.
Asker
Bashar
Bashar
Why?
Asker
I’m not sure.
Asker
Bashar
Bashar
Yes, you are. I am? Yes, of course you are. Why is it painful? You want me to tell you? Please. All right. It’s painful for you because you’re identifying and replicating their pain in yourself. You don’t have to do that. How about replacing your pain with compassion for them? So that if they do decide to match the negative frequency that you don’t prefer and cut themselves off from you, you can have the compassion to understand that the only reason they would ever do that is because they themselves have bought into fear and negative beliefs that don’t serve them in positive ways. And you can have the compassion and the insight and the perspective and the adult maturity that they don’t have, so that in reflecting that adult compassion and maturity back to them, you at least give them an option to know other things they could choose in creating a relationship with you, instead of the things that they might choose that would cut them off from you. Because you are not cut off from them. They are cutting themselves off from you by remaining in a vibration of disconnection. By remaining in a vibration of compassion, you will always be knowing that you are connected, and you will not have to feel that as pain when they choose the experience of disconnection. Because you will know it’s not possible to actually be disconnected. It is only possible to create an experience of disconnection. But that doesn’t mean that you’re actually disconnected. In fact, the paradox and the irony is that the only way you can create an experience of disconnection is if you’re connected to all that is and you are part of all that is. Okay. Are you able to be mature enough to have the compassion to understand that they are simply struggling with beliefs that they don’t know how to change?
Asker
Yes.
Asker
Bashar
Bashar
One moment. Not so fast. And are you mature enough to understand that if you succumb to the pain and you create the pain within yourself, you are giving them no other option but to remain in that state? Because they see in you no example of how they could change their mind. But if you come with compassion and understanding and realize that the only reason they would do that is because they are having their own difficulty with their own negative beliefs, if you come from compassion, you at least give them an option, another doorway through which they could walk and remain in the experience of connection to you. Do you understand? That’s the only way to help them. Yes. Then why not help them, instead of imprison them by reinforcing the same negative vibration that they are giving off?
Asker
Well, yes, that’s kind of the direction I’m going. I think I just needed a push.
Asker
Bashar
Bashar
Yeah. Reassurance. All right. Well, I will reassure you: the more that you are willing to be yourself, truly yourself, and the vibrational state you prefer to be, the more help you are being to others, including those that choose not to accept your help. But at least you give them the option. You always provide a doorway. You’re always accessible, even if they choose not to access you. You’re always accessible and compassionate and available, always, because you have unconditional love, unconditional love for them, even though they may choose to express conditional love. You understand? Yes. And even your father is expressing love. It just may be that he was never taught the tools by which to express it appropriately.
Asker
Yes, I agree with you.
Asker
Bashar
Bashar
Well, if you understand that it’s simply a lack of understanding, then you can have compassion that he simply didn’t learn the proper tools. Yes. And if he didn’t know the proper tools but you do, then why not demonstrate the use of the proper tools in your compassionate response to anything that he may send your way that is simply not a vibration you prefer? Isn’t that what you prefer? Yes. Here’s my issue though, Bashar.
Asker
What is your issue?
Asker
Bashar
Bashar
My issue is that I do that and then to a certain point it feels like for some reason my happiness wall is down.
Asker
Then you have a definition and a belief you haven’t discovered yet.
Asker
Bashar
Bashar
Can you help me find it?
Asker
Well, what happens when that wall comes? What are you experiencing when you hit that wall?
Asker
Bashar
Bashar
I feel like I’m experiencing the same kind of emotion. It’s like fear and anger.
Asker
About what? What are you angry at?
Asker
Bashar
Bashar
Yourself?
Asker
I don’t know.
Asker
Bashar
Bashar
Yes, you do. Of course you do. Can you tell me again what you are angry with yourself about? Remember, natural anger only lasts about 15 seconds. If it lasts longer than that, it’s negative judgment. Okay. So what are you negatively judging yourself about and projecting it onto them? I am not saying that they may not bear some responsibility in giving you a crash course in negative belief systems, because they themselves only had that to teach to you. But the idea nevertheless is that if you now are mature enough to understand that that’s what it’s all about, then when you hit that wall, all you’re saying is you are negatively judging yourself for accepting those lessons. You’re angry at yourself for perpetuating things on yourself that you didn’t need to perpetuate on yourself, and you’re projecting it on them and blaming them for having started that cycle. Yes. But it doesn’t matter if they started the cycle. If you know that there is a cycle, you’re outside of it. Remember, a habit is something you do you don’t know you’re doing. Once you’re aware the habit is there, it’s gone. Awareness of the habit is not the beginning of letting it go, it’s the end of it. So if you recognize, if you’re at a point in your life where you recognize that they may have taught you certain negative beliefs—and that’s all well and good, and you were caught up in those patterns up to a certain point—then what you are now experiencing is the idea that you are berating yourself for continuing to buy into those things beyond the point that you recognize that you have the ability not to. You follow me? Yes. So stop blaming yourself. Stop blaming everyone or anyone. Just understand that you now have the power and the maturity to recognize what you prefer and what you don’t. And just because someone may have taught you more of what you don’t prefer doesn’t mean now that you have to hold on to those beliefs if you really don’t prefer them. Because all you’re doing is anchoring yourself to something that you say you don’t prefer by holding a grudge. You understand? Right. So if that’s not really what you prefer, don’t hold a grudge. Don’t blame. And don’t blame yourself either. Okay. You did the best you could. You are doing the best you can. You are doing just fine. If you weren’t, we probably wouldn’t be having this conversation.
Asker
When a person is trying to connect with another person and trying to find out the reason for whatever it is that they’re doing, what do you do when somebody lies to you?
Asker
Bashar
Bashar
It is similar to what we’ve already talked about. You first recognize that the only reason they would do so is that they are harboring some fear about themselves that they do not want to be discovered—in that sense, in that belief, that negative belief they have about themselves. And so they will cover it up. But if you recognize that that’s what’s happening, you can have the compassion and the wherewithal and the wits about you to engage them in a dialogue that would explore why they felt it was necessary to lie. Now, of course, there are negative and positive reasons for lies, but we’re not debating that issue. We’re assuming that you mean that they are using the lie to cover up something they simply don’t want found out about themselves that they believe is a negative idea. You follow me? Yes. Therefore, in covering it up, they get to, shall we say, maintain the illusion you have of respect for them, and the respect that they have for themselves, or want to have, that they don’t have. You follow me? Yes. And if you understand that that’s the mechanism at work, then you can have the compassion and the wherewithal to engage them in dialogue and find out what it is they believe that is so horrible about themselves that they would think that they would look bad in your eyes by telling you the truth.
